When riding a course on my Edge 840, two lines of the screen at the bottom are taken up by a progress bar of the course.
The screen isn't that big anyway and that's why I want to get rid of it.
But I am unable to remove that bar.
Anyone have an idea?
As there is no screen with a "progress bar" I assume you are referring to the Map Elevation Profile on the Map screen, it actually shows the elevation for the section of the course that is shown on the map, (ie related to your zoom level), as well as your position and the virtual partner. For flat / shorter courses it could look like a progress bar.
To get rid of it,
Menu > Activity Profiles > [Select a Profile] > Data Screens > Map > "Show Elevation Profile" = Disable
Noting you have to do this for each Profile
(I would attach screenshots but forum is preventing me from doing this) (NOW it is allowing it !!!)
PS If you have 1 or 2 data fields on the map page then the profile only takes up one line, can sometimes be useful
(screens from a 1040 & 4th one from a previous beta with a map bug, now fixed, no roads drawn but labels ok)
