Edge 840 with fw 24.18 wifi seems it dosen't work?

I just received a new edge 840 non solar device 3 days ago, from the warranty, and it seems that the wifi is not working.

After I received the unit, I had to configure it and give it a map and software update, but the surprise. It sees my networks when I configure them, it shows that everything is ok, but when I let them synchronize, in over 90% of the cases it gives me the Sync Failed error...

I tried all possible combinations to configure the router as simply as possible to see if it works, but no improvement.

And the auto brightness on this version of the software is horrible. If I hadn't had another 840 before it, I would have said that's how they all are.

I also get the 'Sync failed' error, though my ride does sync to Garmin Connect.

I think it's buggy wifi sync code/update.

Does your ride upload to Garmin Connect ?

My rides are uploaded, but i don't know if they are uploded via wifi or via bluetooth and my phone. I didn't experimented closing BT on the phone before saving my ride.

Same issue here. I was trying to remove and re add WiFi to see if that would fix it, but now I can’t find any of the broadcasted WiFi.

[update] powered off then powered on re added WiFi seems to work now, but this is definitely a bug.

I have the same problem, WiFi shows that is syncing all the time, even after the device reboot. My all mobile devices use the same WiFi without any issues, this is for sure any bug.
