Climb pro goes through an intersection where you have a stop sign for crossing traffic. Doesn't the map know about intersections and stop signs like other maps?

Why is it a problem to have intersections and stop signs during a climb?
What did you expect to happen?
best case would be to get a notification on the screen if in climb mode. I generally ignore those screens but noticed after I went through the intersection that it was still in climb mode.
A notification for what, that you might have to stop at the intersection? Which navigation app or device does that?
There is no climb mode, there is only a ClimbPro screen and you are free to change screens at any time. There is an option to automatically switch to the ClimbPro screen at the start of climbs.
If you're using Climb Pro for training, then stopping at an intersection during a climb pro challenge adds multiple minutes to your time.
I think that ideally, Climb Pro climbs should be the ones that you can do uninterrupted. I mean, heck, I'll be on a ride with a dozen monster climbs, and Climb Pro will ignore those, but will include a few that you have to stop at an intersection for before the end of the climb. Seems like it's broken.
ClimbPro is a pacing feature. It allows riders to see how far they are along the climb and what the upcoming gradient is, in order to decide how hard to go. Breaking up a long climb because of intersections would defeat the point: the device would no longer indicate how long the climb actually is.
What you are looking for are Segments. These allow you to compare your times across several efforts along the segment. You’ll find that Strava’s implementation works best.
That's actually a good distinction between Segments and Climb Pro.
For me, ClimbPro is just broken.
It misses most climbs, give me climbs that are incredibly short/insignificant, seems to end them too soon (i.e. more climb to go, but it says I've finished), and always tells me that the gradient remaining is 3%, no matter what.
Maybe I'm using it wrong, but if it's for pacing, then it completely misses the mark.
thanks that does make sense, I look at strava post ride. I disabled the climb screen as I live in glacier flattened forest with 1 20-30m climb.
