Request: Turn Guidance ON but Navigation Prompts OFF

I would like two things to happen on my Edge 840 when I'm navigating a course:

1. The map to display the directions as guide text in the top bar, e.g. "Turn right on Main Street in 6.5 km"

2. For my screen (map or data) to never get disrupted by navigation prompts.

Is this currently possible, or could an "off" option for Navigation Prompts possibly be added that works independently of the Turn Guidance setting.

I assume you have #1 ok via "Guide text" While Navigating or Always? ( Menu > Activity Profiles > [Select a Profile] > Navigation > Map > Guide text)

For #2, Menu > Activity Profiles > [Select a Profile] > Navigation > Navigation Prompts > (Text Only not Map) ???

Note you have to do these for each Profile.

Yeah I suppose what I'm looking for is an OFF setting for Navigation Prompts. Text Only is ok, but when you're on a data screen it still shows a popup when a turn is coming.

In situations where I want no nav prompts at all, typically mtbing, I just display the course on the map and don't have the 840 navigate the course. I go to courses on the device, select the course, then select display on map...or something like that. It will then show on the map until I go back and remove it from the map.
