Edge840 & Firmware 21.18 - causes SRAM Quark Powermeter Issues

Since I installed the latest Firmware 21.18 I am facing data drops of my SRAM Quark Powermeter. Meaning, the edge is showing "0-value" of wattage in the display every here and then. This leads to faulty NP or Power average values.

This is happening only with the Edge840.

I did a test with using Edge840 and Fenix7 on the same workout today.

Fenix7 is not showing that issue while the Edge has constant loss of power data (wattage only).

Anybody else experiencing this issue - any idea how to overcome this ?

join the beta and try the 23.10 . or wait for a new stable 23.xx

Same as you - SRAM Quark Powermeter. Current Firmware on the EDGE 1050 is 7.18 (side loaded). At least this is the info in System/About.

However, just realized my firmware was not up-to-date, unfortunately. Would expect the device to ask me about firmware when turned on for the first time but apparently didn't. Will now update and then double-check on wattage.

Hi Faust21 did you had the chance for checking again . what was the result ?

I tried several times on the stationary as well as outside and see a huge number of data drops in regards to wattage. Everything else seems fine.

I also recognized, that my version in Garmin Express did not match the Version on the Edge .. no idea how to solve this.

Hi EifelZiege, no, the update did not solve the issue. On my stationary bike which also has a SRAM AXS FORCE plus Quark PM it works, but on my other two bikes with the same configuration it does not. It seems there are more people having that issue, as another one dropped into my thread in the 1050 sub-forum.

I have the same issue with Edge 840 and SRAM Quarq D0 PM. Just now I did get beta version 24.03 pushed to my device so will see if that makes a difference

Just FYI - in the parallel thread in the 1050 forum, the solution seemed to be to connect the PM via Ant+ to the E1050 and not via Bluetooth. However, would assume the 840 only allows for Ant+ connections anyways.
