21.18 lots of sensor disconnects and reconnects - Edge 840

I installed 21.18 on my Edge 840 last night and went for a ride. My power meter was connected, but didn't show any data for the first 5min. Then it would drop and reconnect, then my HRM Pro would do the same. Lots of disconnected and reconnects last night when this has been rock solid before. Feels like I'm on my old 530 again.

I’m worried that I may be speaking too soon but …. This may have been fixed with the latest 25.24 fw update. So far so good for me. We’ll see if that holds up. And before this update every time I lost sensors (HR monitor and gears) after the sleep mode.

I just wanted to chime in and say after the latest update I’m dropping my Wahoo Kickr Snap and Duotrap sensor repeatedly on indoor training sessions. It has happened with the trainer 4 times during at 2.5 hour ride and more times with the DuoTrap than I can count. This is insanely annoying as the power readings fluctuate upon the trainer reconnecting and I have to manually adjust the resistance to meet the power requirements of the workout…for a $500 piece of tech this is pretty unacceptable.

Hey Vacycling
It sounds like you're experiencing signal interference indoors. If your DuoTrap works normally outdoors, that is a good sign something in your indoor training environment is causing interference.

I have the same problem where my sensors all drop if I don’t do a hard reset.

Thanks all for your participation in this thread. We are investigating reports of Edge devices not (re)connecting to sensors automatically after resuming from sleep, and I will update this thread with any new info.

Several updates have been released for Edge x40 devices over the last 6 months, if you continue to experience similar sensor / sleep behavior please begin a new thread.
