Fit files not always saved on Garmin Edge 840 SW 21.17

Ride saved as always but ride was not uploaded and no file present in Activities folder :(.

Try looking in the Garmin\Tempfit folder on the Edge. If it is there then move it to the Garmin\Activities folder

Been happening for a while and still happens in 21.18. This is not good.
