Assigning bikes to activity profiles

Is there still no way to assign a bike to an activity profile?
Garmin could easily do it by allowing assigning a default bike to an activity profile (mountain bike for 'mountain biking' activity profile, etc..), or based on sensors utilized during the ride (AXS shifters, power meter, cadence, etc..) and allowing the user to select which sensors belong to which bike (or even automatically learn it based on prior rides, which would be trivial).   SRAM AXS app does it.

  • Yep, they could do it, but they haven't in the many years it's been repeatedly asked for going back many Edge generations.  I don't think a month goes by in one of these Edge forums without somebody starting a new thread on it and many others chiming in.   Def no harm in starting a new thread asking for it.  "Hope springs eternal."

  • So many people ask for this, thread after thread of it, it's an OBVIOUS feature to have regardless of the Edge model. It seems simple to do, and yet they don't do it? I've 3 bikes with 3 profiles and shoes for one bike. I have to remember to manually go and change the gear around. It's the sort of things computers are ideal to automate, it'd be easy to code up, but they make you manually have to mess around. Frustrating!

I would 10000% want this feature. Manually adding gear every ride is tedious.
