No satellite connection for garmin 840

My 840 is having satellite connectivity issues...like no connection at all. Anyone having similar problems? Remedy?

what is the gps firmware number in the menu-system-about-copyrights? 11.00?

The GPS version is 11.00 and software is 21.16

and the CPE ephemeris file "Current" there? (scroll down a bit). connect the Edge to a computer, delete the cpe.bin file from RemoteSW folder, then dsimount it from the computer, and sync with GConnect via phone BT or wifi, and that will download the actual cpe.bin file again. maybe this file is corrupt. btw, where do you live, no war zone in close?

Thanks for the info but I spent the morning with Garmin and they have decided its toast and are going to exchange my current 840 with a new one.
