How navigate to bathroom mid-ride while following a course

Hello, I am fairly new to using garmin courses and mapping. I have a garmin edge 840 and like the feature that you can navigate to a bathroom or find water in the search features. But if I am following a course already how do you navigate to the new place (IE bathroom) and then navigate or return back to your course you were on?

Drop a pin at your location. Navigate back to that when returning to the course. When you arrive, reload the course.

These devices can only deal with one navigation at a time.

So, navigating to a bathroom would replace navigating with a course.

Often, you can just “wing it” and just ride back to the course without any specific navigation.
