Edge 840 Elevation is in feet, whereas all other settings are in metric, how do I convert that variable to metric too?

My 840 is set to use metric measurements, however it tracks elevation in feet, despite still reporting the length of the climb, e.g 550ft of elevation over 1.5 km. This incongruency is strange. It does convert to metres when syncing with the Connect app, but reading accurately in real time would be what is hoped for.

Try the following

System -> Units -> Elevation

If it is metric toggle it to statute and then back to metric.

If it is statute set it to metric.
