Apply customisations from old device

Hi there. after a device failure i've been sent a new replacement 840 Edge that is arriving tomorrow. Is it possible to apply the customisations to it from the old device to the new device without having to go through all the screens and set up manually again?

Currently CIQ apps are not supported, but most other things are. You will need to repair things like lights and Edge remote as they store the ID of the Edge unit.

Yes, if you pair with the phone app on initial set-up it will offer you the option to import profiles and settings from prior devices.

Works like a charm. Just bought a new 840 and all setups including sensors were taken from my 530. Only thing that wasn't copied was my smart bike light IQ datafield and setup.

Do you know how to force it to happen? Nothing prompted me during initial setup. One review said it was possible to trigger it on demand but I can't find anything in manual about it.

Ok, I found it under the Device settings in Garmin Connect app. Annoying that it's not evident in the manual though.
