Garmin Speed Sensor 2 readings keep jumping here and there for Garmin Edge 840 Solar

I ordered 2 new sets of the combo Garmin Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence sensor 2 bundle last year 15 Dec 2013 on Amazon. However, only 3 days ago i started to use 1 of the 2 sets. The cadence readings seems fine. However, speed sensor 2 readings keep jumping here and there from 30 kmph to 12kmph to 20 kmph to 30 kmph to 8kmph when the actual speed was more or less constant for my Garmin Edge 840. Therefore, I was forced to disconnect the speed sensor 2 from the edge 840 and used the satellite speed sensor instead. I have yet to try the 2nd new set (backup set) of speed sensor 2 and will try it soon and post the result of the 2nd new speed sensor.

In the meantime, I request to make refund for this faulty speed sensor 2 or exchange for a working speed sensor 2.

    My one is Garmin Edge 840 Solar. Is it not compatible with your speed sensor 2??

    Can software update it to be more reliable if not it is a problem and wasted money on the sensor.

    In the meantime, I request to make refund for this faulty speed sensor 2 or exchange for a working speed sensor 2.

    I hope you dont have the sensor in the back wheel. I was having similar problems and disconnections and i transfer it to the front whell and all works fine.

    It is all along in the front hub never been the rear hub. The speed sensor 2 made by Garmin is really bad quality and unreliable. How can the speed readings jumped from 8 to 30 and 30 to 8 and sometimes in is 35 to 12 and then 20 plus all over the shops within 1 second when riding with it?

    Speed Sensor 2 has a wheel size setting.

    It is set to automatic out of the box but you can set it to the correct value manually, too. There should be an option to change a wheel size in the sensor settings screen when it is connected to Edge (using ANT+, not so sure about BLE).

    Don't understand what u saying. But they are coming to collect it back to dispose the faulty speed sensors 2 x 2 pieces.
