Wrong Ascent values

I used my new Edge 840 parallel to my Fenix 6x Pro for a road bike ride. Flat enviroment, no forrests, etc. GPS only.

Edge shows 213m climb, Fenix says 168m. If I upload the track to Komoot I get 140m.

Why is the number of the Edge 840 that much wrong??

in short: wrong calculation/smoothing filter for flat/false flat terrain where the barometric values are ( in 0.2m steps) fluctuating heavily
