Edge 840 restarted mid-ride

This was a problem with my 830. It seems to be a problem with my new 840 as well. Towards then end of a 45mi ride 840 turned off and restarted. It continued after reconnecting to all devices but any distance traveled was lost. I can provide the crash logs if that helps.

    Same problem yesterday at may long ride.

    Restart after 2:30 but without resetting the counters.

    Same problem with my 840 today. Restarted itself after 29 miles - missed the last ten miles completely

    Is there an error log in the Garmin\Debug folder?

    With the Edge connected to a PC it would be in the Garmin\Debug folder on the drive that is the mounted Edge.

    There is an error log in the Debug folder at my Edge but the err_log file is empty. The GarminOS.dbg is 75KB but I don’t know if this file can help you in debugging.

    It is likely that the log got upload to Garmin when you synced.

    My err-log file is also empty with an 85 KB GarminOS.dbg file

    the 21.17 also crashed midride (after 3h, without any button press or page scroll), here is the err_log.txt (btw the exact place after such a crash is the Debug\Uploads\Error\ folder, in the Debug folder the log file is empty and old)

    Mine has done this same thing the last two rides over a few hours (right around the 3 hour mark).  Anyone have a solution? Unless I missed it all I see in the thread is that it has happened to a few other people.
