Garmin 840 stop my while movin

I have started using a Garmin edge 840 and realize that in long distance ride my Garmin bike compute just pause the ride for no reason even though my cycling is running at the speed of 30 to 35km per hour and later resume it. I have lost total 10km of my total ride due to this issue.

anyone experience this? Just a note, I am using Garmin cadence and speed sensor and my auto pause setting set to “when stopped”

I just upgraded to the 840 and this has happened on my first two rides.

Just got off with Garmin support. They suspect because I'm using the older (magnet) style speed sensor, that is causing the issue. They proactively are shipping me the newer cadence/speed sensor. Hoping that fixes the issue.

Thanks, please respond to this forum if ur new speed/cadence sensor fix the issue. I am actually looking forward to it.

Props to Garmin support. The sensors came really fast and my first ride using them did not reproduce the issue.

All looks good, and the issue seems to be resolved.
