ClimbPro after 19.19

As someone who suggested that the ClimbPro notification be converted to a button,  I was very pleased that software 19.19 was going to add this function. Until I tried it on a ride. The reason why I do not have ClimbPro switch automatically on is that most of the hills that I go up are preceded immediately by a down hill section. Therefore whilst going down hill I would prefer to see the map and/or concentrate whilst travelling down the hill. Then when I slow down going up hill I can then press the button to switch to ClimbPro. The problem now is that the notification of a climb approaching happens mostly on a down hill section, so to press the button I need to take my hands off the bar whilst travelling at speed to press the button in the few seconds that it appears. This is potentially dangerous so I do not do it. I wonder if anyone at Garmin ever road tests the improvements? My recommendation is to keep the ClimbPro button on for longer, or add a small icon like the + and - that can be pressed at any time during a climb. Sure I can scroll to the ClimbPro screen but sometimes you are not even aware that you are on a climb if you are concentrating on the down hill approach. Maybe at the same time the poorly placed hand icon can also be moved off the 12 o'clock location as it blocks the road ahead.
