840 Speed

Good morning, while standing at home configuring the screens of my new Garmin 840, I see on many occasions that the speed is activated, it tells me that I'm going 4.5 km / h (for example) while stopped. does it happen to anyone else?

Yes. It's due to GPS position noise. Temporal variations in signal propagation from the satellites causes variation in position measurement which is interpreted as speed. The effect is less when unobstructed outdoors with stronger signals and more satellites visible. This is one reason the use of a wheel based speed sensor is suggested.
