840 Locking up on disconnect from laptop - Garmin logo/Battery % screen

Every time I disconnect from laptop after syncing (STILL waiting for wireless syncing to be FIXED) the device is now hanging at the Garmin logo screen with the battery percentage. If you do nothing it will stay on like that & will not turn off. The only thing that seems to work is long pressing the power button for maybe15+ seconds and then it seems to reboot. Other times I've forgotten this and found is an hour later still stuck on same screen

Same here, very annoying. The workaround for me is to disconnect/eject the USB device form Windows before remove the cable (bottom right's task menu), like we normally do before remove a Flash drive.…

If you forget to eject. Press and hold power off for ten seconds will shutdown the device. Then power it back up.

Its never been an issues with any other Garmin device (130, 130+, Forerunner, Fenix) and up until it seems the last SW update, it was never an issue with 840 either

Firmware 18.25 was waiting for me this morning. I applied it and then connected to the PC and used Garmin Express. It seems the lockup is fixed.
