Indoor cycling with course is broken with 18.23

Hello, 

I've recently updated the firmware and maps to 18.23 version. However I get and issue with i do indoor cycling.

I've created couple of courses, which are long enough and there are climbs for sure. I load those courses on my Edge 840, and start to cycle on my indoor trainer. Edge 840 regulates the slope, i can see the virtual location of map, however the graph showing the climbs is shown as it was with firmware 9.26.

What should i do to get the current graph of the slope to be shown as something like this:

    The page you are showing above is the one used with free climbing. E.g. Not using a course.

    The page you are seeing is the original page that you get on a climb when following a course. That page does not show the map as the course is providing navigation instructions to stay on the climb.

    The free climbing page shows that map as the rider has to determine the route to take to stay on the climb.

    Thanks for the reply aweatherall.
    With firmware version 9.26 on the elevation page I could see the large graph with climbs and downs in the following 500m. Also the ClimbPro graph now with 18.23 is empty without anything, unlike which had graph with 9.26 firmware.

    Can i somehow downgrade from 18.23 to 9.26 firmware?

    Let me try a a course in indoor mode.

    I'm able to produce the issue with the elevation page being blank. I have raised a support call with Garmin.

    This is the actual (old) Elevation Screen we are referring to, not the ClimbPro versions  ??

    If so I have just seen the same (not surprisingly) on my 1040

    I do a lot of Indoor smart trainer cycling and almost always just sit on the elevation screen and climb (I am not very good at climbing so need to practice a lot). First try with 18.23 and the Elevation Screen has no profile, got the grid etc but no Green elevation profile with the various color grade bits.

    I don't use climbpro as I find the Elevation screen all I need. I enabled climbpro and the climbpro screen in the indoor profile  and that seems to work, at least it showed the preview of the 4 climbs in my loaded course, but I did not get far enough to see if it actually popped up.

    Please get our Garmin friends to rush us a (fully tested) fix

    (not currently letting me attach screenshots, why does it sometimes let me and other times not ??? !!!!, now it is )

    Also on the firmware 9.26 once you've started the indoor ride with course, you could see a cursor with your virtual location and something like cursor for ghost rider, which would follow along as you rode the course. Now there is no follow along nor my cursor nor the cursor of the ghost.

    Also I'm getting the following page without graph, I'm not sure of it's name:
     

    Is there any chance for us to revert the firmware to version 9.26?

    I am seeing slightly  different

    I am getting the map screen with my location & the Virtual Partner

    But after I have started the ride the Elevation screen changes to the version for free rides ie as if there is not a course (which of course there is a course)

    (it has stopped allowing me to insert screenshots, I will try again later)

    Hello L.Rouge, 

    I can confirm that I can see my virtual location and the location of the virtual partner on the map, however I cannot see the cursor on the graphs with climbs.
