Charging plug almost burnt during ride

  1. At my last 24h race, the Garmin froze completely 2 times at first. Nothing responded anymore. Only a softreset helped. After that, the charging plug is then melted.

    I loaded while riding with Lupine usb two charger. The Garmin still works but now I'm worried that this could occur again. 

    Has anyone had such a thing? I used the cable and Lupine charger many years before with other units. Never experienced any issues.
