[BUG 9.29] Climb Pro does not record the actual climbs in the activity.

All 7 climbs were successfully completed, and for each climb, a separate data screen with a colored gradient graph appeared and was displayed. However, not all of them made it into the activity in the end! The most challenging and longest 15-kilometer climb was not recorded, second essential 8.9 was not recorded...
And now I cannot retrieve the stats of them. :(

  • I have ticket open on this. Garmin said it will be addressed in the next release.

  • just for curiosity, what was the reason why it was skipped? because too long climb or there is one or more tunnels during this long climb and lost the gps signal?

  • There are a few record types that are created in the fit file associated with a climb.

There is a ClimbPro start and end marker.

Then there are two types of split records. One with a summary of the whole climb and then a different type of split record for each of the sections.

Something can causing the sections records not get written out. I'm not sure what the cause is.

Garmin Connect uses those two split record types to report and show the climbs.

  • Thx for the detailed answer! I sent You pm a week (or two) ago, can You read it when You will have time?! Thank You again in advance!
