Garmin 840.
I am able to download .tcx files from an Android tablet directly to the 840 by copying the files to the NewFiles directory on the device. So far so good.
But I run into trouble trying to upload those same routes to Garmin Connect.
1) Can .tcx files be imported to Connect using the Connect APP running on an Android tablet? Or can I only use the web based version of Connect?
2) Using the training/activities/courses/import/browse to select method, it seems to insist that I type in the course name for each course I import. Is that correct? If so, that makes this method completely unusable.
3) Is it better to copy the files to the device, then upload the files from the device to Connect?
So far, I am finding the Garmin infrastructure (Connect, Connect app, Connect web) to be incredibly clumsy. Is it just me?
