The device shows that climbpro files are only available for south east asia countries.
Does it work for anyone in India? Which additional file is needed? Will Garmin release for India.
I reached out to support, and they said it works with OSM maps and I should get in touch with authorized dealer, but there is a overall support freeze in India till 30 June and no one is picking up the phones at support centers. 
The India map in this screen is the custom map I downloaded from bbbike.
I am facing similar issue, as per other threads in the forum climbpro should work in the country from where device is purchased but climbpro is not working for India on the device purchased in lndia

and in the profile data screen, it is enabled
I created a custom course for a nearby climb and on the course it shows the climbs, so it definitely qualifies in the score.
I tired disabling the custom maps too. Garmin provided only the City Navigator maps for India, and not the Cycle Maps.

On this product page for India region, the description talks about the same features available everywhere else with no disclaimer that neither Cycle Maps nor ClimbPro freeride will work in India or will work only in certain regions.
and on the specs page, it is very specifically mentioned:
I checked the basemap, it doesnt contain India.
I have an Edge 1040. It is very unfortunate that both Free Ride Climb Pro and Climb Explore are not in India. Below is the verbatim from email reply. Such a sad thing for a glorified unit
"In context to your other query, we regret to inform you that the ClimbPro feature without navigation & Climb Explore doesn't work in India."
