So I've been running through a few scenarios regarding data fields that die when I use widgets
Particularly widgets that request to use your position via GPS.
As for widgets I have a rain forecast one I use, a radar one I use, a garage door opener, and some little app that allows me to send pre-packaged texts if needed.
In the cases that the widgets utilize a GPS position request, any data field that relies on it, or that uses GPS to get speed......dies.
For data fields, in my case I have Windfield, Forecastr, an average speed field that shows it to 2 decimal places, and two rich power/heartrate fields. When I use the widgets, Windfield, Forecastr, and my average speed fields die. The weather related fields just go to zeros/defaults, and the average speed field dies and starts killing my actual average - just shows zeros.
I don't know enough about what goes on behind the scenes to make any technical statement, but it seems like Garmin only allows one stream of GPS data per app? Something like that? Or at least caps it to the point that me using just one kills all the others.
Anyone else seeing issues with widgets bombing out certain data fields?
