Climb pro page-load lags when more than 15 climbs on route

I opened a support ticket with Garmin on this.

I just noticed this when checking out my new 840, I haven't yet ridden an affected route using it.

Do we know if the only impact is the UI responsiveness?

It looks very much like high CPU while rendering Climb Pro screen, and I'm worried it might have a significant impact on battery life.

Is there any update on this? I have an upcoming ultra race and would really like for this not to happen for 10 days of riding!

no, still lagging obviously, and not only with more than 15 climbs, sometimes even with 5-6 also + navigation... (fw9.29)

Last weekend I completed an ultra race (500 km). There were 64 climbs on the road. I turned off the climb pro feature because it was taking 10-15 seconds to rotate the screen. But when the device looks like it's frozen, the navigation directions still pop up. My older 530 doesn't have this problem.

Last week I loaded a 660km route with 30 climbs, had to turn off climbpro, with climbpro turned on it was almost impossible to swipe between screens.

I've the same exact problem on long courses with more than 15 climbs to do. Lagging and sometimes it's unusable. 

There are improvements in the public beta build. It populates quicker, but also you can step past page while it is loading if you wish to.
