Creating courses using default maps installed on edge 840

Hello,

There are many diiferent maps preinstalled on th device:

- DEM Basemap, NR

- Garmin Cycle Map EU 2022.11, East

- Garmin Cycle Map EU 2022.11, Central

- Garmin Cycle Map EU 2022.11, West

- Garmin Geocode Map EU 2022.10

- etc.

I leave only one map enabled - Garmin Cycle Map EU 2022.11, East - and now would like use the same map with BaseCamp? How can I install exactly the same map on my laptop? 

Could you also recommend other method whoch give me possibilty to use exactly the same map on base camp and edge 840?

    You can use the maps on the Edge if you leave it connected to your computer whilst using Basecamp

    I tried this solution but it didn't work. I had to update BaseCamp to newest version and now it works perfectly Slight smile

    Is there any option which give me possibility to use this map on BaseCamp permanently without connecting Edge every time?

    I don’t think so, but perhaps try open source maps from other sources such as  https://www.openmapchest.org or https://garmin.opentopomap.org/

    There isn’t any reason to do that.

    The devices are designed to have all these enabled. 

    The “Cycle” maps (which have the stuff you see and routing info) don’t overlap.

    The DEM map has the elevation data. It doesn’t have visible info (outside of contour lines, which you can turn on/off else where).

    The Geocode map supports address and POI lookups. 

    The Basemap is used at low zoom levels: it has less detail which makes the display faster to draw and not over cluttered. It also provides some context for areas you don’t have detailed maps (the “Cycle” ones) for.
