Downloaded new Connect and now the 830 does not connect

I have two 830 and the new Connect will not connect.  Also will not connect to my Wifi device both the BP and IndexS2  Please help

    Here's how I made it work.

    I used Garmin Express and pc/usb cable to update my Garmin SW

    upgraded iphone to latest iOS

    powered up garmin with iphone in airplane mode

    selected "pair phone" on Garmin

    tried connecting via Connect - failed

    tried again using "wider search" - success!

    I hope that works for you. Very frustrating
