Can I enter a new address for navigation during an active ride on Edge 830?

Hi everyone.

I’m using a Garmin Edge 830 and I’m wondering if it’s possible to enter a new address or location for navigation while a ride is already in progress? 
When I start a ride and go into the Navigation menu, I don’t see any option to “Search Address”. The only available options are to select a saved course or navigate back to the start.

I’ve looked through every menu I could find, but still couldn’t figure out how to input a new destination during the ride. Is this feature simply not available on the Edge 830? Or am I missing something?

    You can definitely select a point on the map to navigate to while recording an activity.  You have to stop all running navigation to navigate to somewhere else.  Navigation and recording are separate things so shouldn't affect one another.
