My son lost his Venu watch 5 days ago. We thought he left it at the race track, went back to look, couldn’t find it.
Anyway, we realised that at home, his app is syncing with the device. Find my Garmin says device found, alert sent.
I think this must mean it’s at home and connecting by Bluetooth. We can’t find it yet (the alerts are just a tiny vibration), but if this is the case I’m confident we’ll find it eventually.
However… if he switches on Live Track, his location (ie his watch location) is shown as the race track he was at last week. This is more of a pain because his watch is ‘out there’ somewhere.
Which is true? Could the sync happen if the watch wasn’t at home? Eg could the app ‘sync’ just from connecting to our home wifi or something?
OR Could Live Track be showing the watch at an incorrect/past/cached location?
They can’t both be correct! I hope it’s ’lost’ at home, but if we believe Live Track, we need to go back to the race track to search again, and quickly before the battery drains.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
