I’m reaching out because, in addition to issues with Popularity Routing and the reliable use of Varia lights on my device, I’ve now also encountered problems with Strava segments. Today, I specifically wanted to ride a segment, so I even subscribed to Strava, selected the segment, and tried approaching it both with and without a pre-planned route. In neither case was the segment recognized by my Edge device. It didn’t even appear as an option in the drop-down menu.
Afterwards, I reset my Edge to factory settings, including all settings and data, and unlinked my Strava account. Even after a lengthy and cumbersome setup process, the problem persisted. Whether Live Segments were enabled or disabled made no difference. The feature is activated in my activity settings.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Additionally, I always find a buggy segment at the end of my list:
This segment cannot be deleted and has no location assigned.
I have repeatedly managed to get the message “All segments have been deleted.” I also removed all stars from segments on Strava. Even when switching to Garmin segments, the device’s segment list didn’t update.
Frankly, I’m quite disappointed with how little the software is being maintained these days. I definitely don’t see this as a reason to buy a new device-the hardware is still fine, and the new prices are certainly not justified.
