topoActive map

Garmin Express says I have a new map available. TopoActive North America 2024.20 It will not install. Keeps saying" there was an error installing the update". I spent a huge amount ot time chatting to Garmin Support with no results. Has anyone been successfull in installing this map?

Same here and it's 12.63 GB! will it even fit?

The 830 has 16GB of storage: system files and settings take up less than 1GB.

I have the same problem in installing the NA 2024.20 update on my 830. I will call the Garmin Support tomorrow.

Lots of luck calling support. My family member called, I did not want to waste my time, and she was frustratred by them not knowing anything about the problem and that the unit was basically not supported anymore.

Garmin Support told me that it is working to address this known issue. Estimated timing unknown.

Can't help with Europe or NA but yesterday I connected my 530 (which had the previous AU/NZ CycleMaps 2024.10 ?) to Garmin Express (Windows) and it was offered the 2025.10 TopoActive AU/NZ which installed OK in less than 10 minutes.

I briefly seen that for TopoActive NA a couple of days ago on Express when I connect the 830, but then yesterday that's gone and all I see is the option to reinstall the existing Cycle NA 2024.20 map that is already on the unit.

Something is going on with Express, and of course Garmin won't respond with anything meaningful.
