I am in a household where there is
3 Garmin 830
1 Garmin 1040 solar
1 FR 965
- 2 of the 830 don't show any map update, stuck to 2019 map.
- 1 of the 830 show map update, and is now on 2024.20
- 1040 solar has got map updates, including 2025.10
On the 2 830 that don't get map updates I've tried:
- connecting to my garmin account on my garmin express that already updated maps for 1040: nothing shows.
- deleting map files from devices, and check again for updates. Nothing. Only trailfork maps 2019
Any solution for theses devices?
I've copied 2025.10 map and dem files from the 1040 and it worked, but again those devices won't then show updates...
Geocode maps from 1040 don't work on 830, normal?
SQL files I didn't copy, which from my understanding is meant for climb pro..should I copy? or will climb pro work on 830 without it?
Can anyone from garmin advise on how to make these 830 get updates? They are on latest firmware. All bought in europe.
