Sorry, your Edge 830 device was not found

My Edge 830 is connected to my iphone in iphone settings. When I try to pair it in Garmin Connect it asks me to choose a device, I choose the Edge 830 and after a few senconds I get a message saying "Sorry, your Edge 830 device was not found." How can this be when the Edge is connected to the iphone by bluetooth. I have not been able to find a solution to this problem.

I’d suggest deleting the Edge BT connection on the phone, deleting the phone BT connection on the Edge, deleting the Edge from the GC app (if it’s there), reboot everything and then start the pairing process again, initiating it from the GC app as per the steps in the user guide.
