gradient of garmin 830

Hi, since couple of weeks the gradient is not working anymore, it gives a number but that isn't right, not even close to the actual elevation.

how can I solve this problem? is it a setting I should adjust or a software/hardware bug?

A lot has been written about that in this forum (not only 830); possibly water or sweat entered the hole to the inside of the unit, servicing the barometric sensor. This hole is hidden behind the USB-flap below the little screw where a rubber rod goes in.

If anything helps, it is patience, putting in the sun etc.

Happened to me as well; in fact even at this very moment.
