Height profile

Should this bar show the height of the course? Because i can only see one flat line. Or do i have to adjust the scale so the height over the full length of the course is visible? I''m not sure but it would be interesting if this bar could show me the full height profile of the course.

It shows the elevation for the next section of the course, not the whole course. The amount shown is tied to the map zoom level. The more zoomed in you are the less you see. The more zoomed out you the more you see.

At a zoom level of 50 meters the elevation profile is likely only showing a couple of hundred meters.
