Enough disk space on device? If - for reasons - maps are broken and won't be recognized an update may fails because of insufficient disk space. Maybe delete existing map files (do a backup before!; basecamp will show you the filenames of the maps) and try a reinstall.

njwebsterAre all of your activities loading to Garmin Connect? If not, you could try following these instructions to remove the file that is failing to sync: Removing Files that Fail to Sync in Garmin Express from the Computer.

Then to clear the map update notifications, try reinstalling the maps on your Edge: Map Details > Reinstall Map.
Once the maps are reinstalled, allow your device to GPS soak outdoors for about 2-5 minutes to require satellite signals.

Half disk space should be absolutely fine. When trigger a maps update and it states 'X hours left...' I stop it and retry again. Sometimes you then get a faster download - but still it's not blazing fast!

Thanks Tom. Main map sorted but wont do same for latest Trailfork update. Now need to work our why its not pairing with my phone!

Did you remove existing pairing on the phone before retrying the pairing? If not, do so and try again.
