Connecting to Smart Trainer?

My husband has just purchased a Garmin Edge 830. We have paired it to his Bianchi road bike and Giant TCR by 'add sensor', and we are but struggling pairing it to his smart trainer (Elite Misuro b+ smart trainer).

I have clicked on Training on the home screen, then Indoor Trainer, and Pair ANT+ Bike Trainer. It says 'to connect an indoor trainer, turn on or wake up the trainer'. And that's as far as I get - it is not connecting. Any idea on what I am doing wrong?

From an Edge point of view that should be all you need to do.

That's what I thought, the other two sensors connected straight away. Battery replaced, sensor removed on Garmin and reconnected, not sure what to do next?
