"Maps do not have routable roads in this area"

I created a route using trailforks (like I've done a dozen times before) in Zurich (where I've done dozens of rides).

Now I'm getting two errors:

First one block out the entire screen and says "This route may take a long time to calculate. Consider adding via points"

I check that off, and then another error pops up, covering half the screen. "Route calculation error. Maps do not have routable roads in this area. "

Meanwhile the routing is working perfectly fine in the background, but I can't see it because of these stupid errors.

Anyone else notice how much worse their unit has become since the 1040s became available. What the best way to downgrade the Garmin software to a precious version? I'll bet it works better again.
