Ride not fully downloaded.

Started a ride in the parking lot... 8 min later I had a work call where I was stopped for about 10 min. The ride download has the start from the spot of the call. I have auto lap turned off.

Any other setting I should look at?

You mean, after ending the ride, you noticed, that it starts not where you started it, but 8 minutes later, where you've got the call?

Yes, when viewed on the 830 or the upload to strava. Missing the first 8'

are you sure, you had GPS signal in that first 8 minutes?
look in the strava, maybe the 8 minutes are there, but not on the map
