Garmin reboot during trip

When I'm cycling with navigation, it happens that the Garmin restarts out of nowhere.
Especially difficult if you don't know the way.

I have already deleted all old routes and the battery is still far from empty.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Software version 9.50

Same here.
Living in Germany.
It restarted on a 70 km tour.

same behavior with sw 9.73 during navigation

I experienced more or less the same. Device switched off with over 30% battery left. Restarted, first indicated 30+% battery, a second later low battery and shut down again. After some kilometers I restarted the device again and I could end the ride on low battery mode. Strangely it also recorded the complete ride, whereas I rode 10 minutes with the device switched off.

Back home the battery was above 30% again.

Version 9.73, outside temperature around 0 degrees C.

This is not a bug, that's your battery dying. I had the same by -5°C few weeks ago. Contacted Garmin support, they offered right away a discount for a new device (since mine is out of the warranty). So I think this issue with the battery is known by Garmin

I have the same problem, my unit ends the ride about every second or third ride. I have 2 choices, save or discard the ride. It starts recording immediately after I save the ride. Frustrating because I don’t keep looking at the unit.
