Since all Garmin software is beta at best we are all in the beta program whether we like it or not. I'm convinced that Garmin programmers do not understand how to do regression testing on new software…
That would be a welcome improvement. As it is we're still waiting for the fix for the sensor disconnect that was introduced a 4 or 5 releases back.
xx30 means the 530/830/1030 versions of the Edge devices. Good to go with the 830. I've already updated my 830.
Yeah. X can be zero, so 0530, 0830.

This is only true for their Edge devices in my experience. My watches have been pretty rock solid with only occasional issues that have been fixed in a reasonable time frame. Hopefully they bring some of their processes from their watches over to their bike computers...
