GPS signal after Sleep Mode

Hi,

I commute at weekdays and after finishing ride I use "sleep" at my Edge 830. There is often and often that the device after wake is unable of acquire GPS signal.
I have to power off and on than the signal appear after few seconds. I tried GPS and GPS + Glonass and have the same issues.
Anybody else experienced the problem?

  • I've only used sleep mode for an hour or so and haven't experienced that issue.  For longer downtimes, I just power it down and then up.  If desired, you can continue recording the same ride after having powered it off.  Pause before powering down, and resume after powering up.  I suspect there may be a firmware bug where if put to sleep for a long period of time, the satellite table doesn't get appropriately updated when the device is woken up so it's looking for the wrong satellites.
