GPS drops out after upgrade to 9.50

Hi Forum

After upgrading my EDGE 830 to the latest FW 9.50 I realize some GPS drops on my latest tour;

it´s visible by an straight connection of about 500m - 1km between the last point recorded and the next point

catched by GPS.

I remeber there were such kind of problems for a specific GPS chipset in the units, mostly represented in watches,

but I don´t get it exactly.

@Garmin - please get this fixed fast as it´s completely messing up statistics and so far I don´t know if it also

will affect navigation.

  • IDK if this is your issue, but there is a bug in Garmin Connect that will draw straight lines on the map when overlaying Power, Speed, Heart Rate or Elevation on the track.  Click on the map view selection in the left upper corner of the map (diamond with two chevrons below it) , and then click on None.

  • There was higher sun activity recent days (Kp index above 5), therefore it could cause your GPS disruptions.

  • Hi looigi

    indeed your hint solved the visualization bug - changing from power to another layer in the card overview (or no layer) delivers again the precise track all over.
