EPO no more updated ?

How are you syncing. I just synced over Garmin Express and it placed a new CPE.BIN file in the Garmin\RemoteSW folder. This file contains the EPO data.

Yes, indeed CPE.bin is up to date in the Garmin\RemoteSW folder. But EPO status is no more updated in Settings -> System -> About -> Copyright Info ?

What software build are you on?

The latest : 9.50

Out of interest try replacing the CPE file with the one from my unit. That should tell us if it a file issue or a unit issue.

My Edge830 exhibits the same behaviour.

FW 9.50, GPS 4.80.

Noticed two CPE.BIN files, one in GPS and another in RemoteSW. I deleted both then synced using Garmin Express for Windows 7.13.1.0. CPE.BIN was recreated in RemoteSW but Edge830 reports it as expired.

There are two of us now, but I guess that there are not so many who checks EPO status in their devices. Despite the expired EPO, my recorded gps tracks are so-so, there are some short stright lines but overall they look quite good. I would never check EPO status if I had not stumbled across this thread.

And I always "safely remove" USB devices from my laptop.

don't remember while on 9.40, but now that am in FW 9.50 (GPS 4.80) and saw this post, my also says EPO expired.
