My new Edge 830 does not find WiFi networks. My phone is placed next to it (and paired via BT) with perfect WiFi connectivity. Did anyone else encounter that problem?

Check your Wifi network. Wifi network has to be 2.4 ghz. 5 ghz will not connect.
There is a setting in your router: Name of the Wi-Fi network visible.
may it is switched off.
The wifi is set to "visible". Furthermore, I restarted the router and the garmin edge. Also, my phone finds a lot of other WiFi networks nearby but my garmin finds none. It just states that it is searching but that's it.
I've also tried to put the SSID and password in manually but the edge cannot connect either.
I recall that some had similar problems if the SSID had symbols in it
there are only numbers and letters in the SSID.
I managed to connect to my WiFi following the answer of the following thread: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-830/233213/no-wifi
Hence, I set the Router settings to WPA2 only (instead of WPA/WPA2) and typed in the SSID and the password manually. It would be great if a device from the 2020s is able to manage standard settings like WPA/WPA2 and the WiFi connection just works like on every other state-of-the-art device nowadays. Understand this as update request.
