Brand new Edge 830, updated the firmware to the newest 9.40. Currently I cannot sync my existing workouts in Garmin Connect (either PC or Android). The label 'Not Compatible' is listed next to the Edge 830 icon. Everything else syncs fine.

New Edge 830 not syncing existing workouts created in Garmin Connect

    SOLVED!

    The Edge devices are not compatible with 'Custom' workouts in Garmin Connect.This detail is not mentioned in the User Guide.

    So when creating a workout I will pick one of the available choices from the drop down box, say Running or Bicycling, basically anything but 'Custom'.

    After that just create the workout and sync.

    Done!

    I will need to rename the existing workouts I was using with my older 310XT and 920XT, since those are incompatible.
