My Edge 830 will only connect from my home wifi

My Edge 830 won’t connect at remote locations and upload rides.  It will only upload when I get home to my home wifi.  It won’t connect to my iphone 13 either.  I have a feeling I have a setting wrong, but can’t figure it out.  Any ideas out there?

    For Wi-Fi it will only connect to networks you configure. You could do this by location but seems bothersome. It should connect to your phone. Try settings/connected features/phone and then pair smartphone. Make sure Garmin Connect is on your phone.

    Thank you, I realized I missed one step after pairing my smartphone, that being selecting the Strava app.  I am up and running just fine.  Thanks again for the tip,
