Edge Cue Sheets

Hi,

Ive created a route using Ride with GPS with a number of Cue sheets.

They seem to be working ok but I missed a couple due to the size of the screen and so the size of the cue sheet at the bottom.

Is there any way of increasing the size of the cue sheet so it fills perhaps half the screen or full?

Or is there a way to set that the cue sheet stays on screen until screen press for example.

Thanks

  • Which screen do you mean when you refer to "cue sheets", is it something like #1 ?

Or do you mean the bottom of screen notice when you pass the position of a "cue" ("Course Point") as in #2

         1. Course Point List (screen)            2. Course Point Notice

If #1 then this screen is added to your active data screens when you follow a course which includes Course Points, it lists the next 4 Course Points which scroll as you move through the course. There is another list accessed via the list of actions associated with the map screen called Course Point List which is scrollable so you can see all your course points.

If #2 then there is no way of increasing the size or preserving it until a key press, it displays for 10 seconds or so but you have warning that it is approaching so you can watch out for it. There is a data field called "Crs. Pt. Dist." (Course Point Distance, see screen #2) which tells you the distance from your current position until the next course point, it counts down, note it also contains the type symbol associated with the point, left, right etc

Are you riding with "Turn Guidance" disabled or enabled? If enabled then you get both Garmin turn notices and those from the Course Points, they can mix but can get confusing to have both. Hope this helps

PS The Course Points also appear on the map as round pink circles with type symbols

  • Hi,  it was #2 i was referring to, thank you for the response..

  • You aren’t using the term “cue sheet” properly. People are going to be less confused if you use the right terms for things.

    ===============================

    • A “cue sheet” is a list of “cues”. (Historically, this was something printed on paper.)
    • A “cue” is an instruction (like for a turn) or other bit of information.
    • A “course point” is a cue in a FIT or TCX file. As L.Rouge said, these are displayed on the map as magenta icons.
    • The image at the left in the earlier post is the “course point page”. It’s a list of course points in the current course file. That would be the “cue sheet”.
  •   as other users mentioned, thanks , this navigational pop-up is not able to be increased in size. You can also switch to the map screen and view the turn prompts at the top of the screen if that is more visible and helpful for you.

  • Thanks, I was just finding that when cycling you do get the audible alert but easily missed. I’m planning a multi-day trip and I wanted it to prompt me to think about spares if I’m passing bike shops or food for example before I actually got to the place.
