Functions of the new 1040 also for 830?

Will improvements to the new 1040 also come via update for the 830?
E.G.
- Better legibility of the font through capital letters
- Setup and real-time synchronisation via smartphone possible
- Trendline Popularity map overlay

DCR mentioned somewhere that nothing wil port from 1040 to older Edges. So buy a new one is the short version of it... ;-)

I doubt the for the 830. Perhaps for the 840, if and when?

I also think that the innovations of the 1040 will only come with an 840. That's a shame, because at least the better reading of the new font could also be brought to the 830 via an update.
